In our business, due to the importance of reputation and professionalism, we must hold ourselves to higher standards than everyone else. Positivity is not just an internal mindset, but also an external affectation.
Two common phrases in our industry’s parlance are “dress for the job you want” and “clothes make the man.” It is expected that, when participating in our table events, our representatives are either wearing approved charity vestments or business-professional attire.
For your interview, it is advised for you to “dress for the job you want.”
What business-professional looks like, at minimum:
A well-fitting suit, preferably in one color.
A dress shirt that fits tightly against the body. Should be in a light color, i.e. white, light blue, or pink. Patterns should be humble.
A pair of black or brown leather shoes, or any other type of formal footwear, such as dance shoes.
Optional:
A black or brown leather belt
A necktie, tied in the four-in-hand, Pratt, or Windsor styles.
Any other formal wear, such as tuxes or dresses, is acceptable as well.
